Decoding Humanity

Decoding Humanity

The human race and its circle of life, often times seem like this complex adjustment to a perceived reality. In actual fact, it is more basic in nature than anything else. To eat, you need food, to get food you need someone to give you what you need which could be money, food, seeds to plant and grow your own food, land on which to plant …

The mere fact is this; the only thing of true value during human existence is time. This is the currency upon which all mankind trade on. So the very simple-looking but complex variable question is this: How do you make the most of the time you have been given to live? Most people express this answer in choosing a life pattern full of activities: learning, working, promotion, marriage, family, investments, betrayal, selfishness, goals, motivations, inspirations, aspirations, accomplishments, acknowledgements and then death. Having achieved all of this activity on their list, have they really lived? Is being human not much more than the things we do? There is a truth beyond all that we know and have come across and it stares us in the eye, daily. Most times we just choose to be ignorant; consciously or unconsciously. The truth is this: everything worth of perceived value here on earth ends for the owner in death. So again, the question: Why the constant pursuit of things that hold no true life value when ultimately we all live to die to live or die. Humanity is more basic in nature to each and every one of us; what you see is what you get with just focusing on the surface of things. Simply put, you and I are part of a process, a process that we neither know beginning nor end, we are just here. We do not know how and we certainly do not know why. What we do know for certain is that we are here, there is a reason and it means so much more than a satisfaction of pursuits. My advice to you is to do this: take it one day at a time, after-all no man can live tomorrow, today.

The Beginning

The Beginning

Life starts at birth and ends in death. Simply put, life means being alive; being able to breathe and though there are various forms and conditions of life, one thing is certain: if you are not alive, you are dead. When we are born as children, we come into this world as strangers. A world we then grow to learn from, study, understand and adapt to. This world that we are born into offers us a number of things, and yes these things also come in opposites: Life – Death, Truth – Lies, Courage – Fear, Natural – Artificial and so many more opposite experiences that we come across every day. As I have come to see and learn, some of these lines and divisions have been blurred almost to non-existence in the eyes of many. Something that was once told and known to be a lie has now been manipulated, being called many new things; leverage, negotiation, skill, interpretations and even wisdom.
Just in case at this point you are wondering the point of this journal, it is a journey being recorded: Simply that. It is a journal of my life, the things I have seen and experienced thus far and my opinion on these matters. It is also my wish that you would learn from this journal and get the best that life has to offer you, personally and as part of a community.

Life is a full place, full of many interesting and exciting activities: Simple ones like laughter, babies, friendship, love, thought, decision, food, people and places. At the basic level of life, all these things are free and easy to understand but when you add things like culture, belief, opinion, differences and complexes, what was once good, simple and pure becomes a blurry line of suspicious activities. This was not the plan for Life. The plan was to have man enjoy the things that had been given to him to enjoy in the way they had been given: life, work, family, friends, community, food, drinks and all the simple pleasures of life. But! We wanted more! We wanted to fly like the birds, swim like the fishes, crawl like the snakes, eat like the dogs… In all our wanting, we began to want unhealthy things: Men wanted to be women, Men wanted what other men had and went far lengths to get it: to own their lands, women, culture and even their way of life. This all added up to a great amount of evil in the world. Evil that man did not know he was capable of: Envy, Greed, Murder, Pride, Anger, Covetousness, Conspiracy, Incest and many more abominable acts of inhumane origin. True Life was lost at the very beginning: Man was born into a life of sin.
