Who are we?
Our Story begins with One Christian finding more Christians.
The HOW Network is a Christian community. Our community is built on the Love of God through Jesus Christ and we take our scriptural reason from Genesis 1: 28 and Acts 2:37 -47. We believe that by working and being together in Love, we can show Christians all around us that God made us to be who we are and not just to survive. We have two arms of plan;
- The HOW Network community centre
- The HOW Network Help centre
The community centre works as a meeting point for members in the same area to meet with one another, share scripture, experiences and relate to one another as brother and sister in Jesus. We encourage members to share their location so we can pair them with members around them, members can call or visit one another, creating a Christian support system just as expected of members of the church. In this way, when one member has a need, members of the community can come together to support that member through the challenge, be it a new job, financial support or counselling through a tough period in life.
The help centre, which we manage via our community management team, seeks to address the challenges faced by members in the society. We hope to be able to do more everyday towards helping our members find who they are in Christ and expressing themselves in the way God created them to. We do this through a variety of means not limited to creating jobs, making investments, providing financial support, structures and projects that help members do more than just survive. We also hope to build a strong network of members over time who keep sharing the good news of being a Christian and the life that God has given us to Live as well as spreading the support to others who thereby being an extension of the network to people in areas around them.
The Community centre is a gathering of believers, to share, to worship, pray, support and gain inspiration from the word of God, helping us live better lives as Christians, here on earth
The HOW Network Help centre is a tool for the empowerment and liberation of individuals challenged by similar life situations, experiencing common issues. Our goals are achievable by coming together and providing mutual support and taking positive steps to making positive changes in our lives and in the lives of others.
By coming together, we will become a bank of knowledge and experience, enabling people to cope and solve problems thereby reducing feelings of isolation and increasing various opportunities and optimism. The major issues we will be addressing are majorly involved with the degrading standards of life (quantity and quality alike), including morality, Christian behaviour, fellowship and brotherhood. Needless to say, our goals are to increase positive related experiences and reduce the presence of negatives in our lives and in the lives of others.
Why we Exist!
As a community, we exist for a lot of reasons, some of which are;
- To create a community for Christians, with a message of Love through Christ - To overcome personal hardship and improve our quality of life
- To meet needs not being met by society
- To meet with other people in similar situations
- To bring about positive changes through a series of events, advocacy and activities
- To empower members and others
- To help members by learning new ways of dealing with issues
Membership and addition to our directory is by choice as we are not a business network or a church with a systematic process just a gathering of Christians working together in Service to God and man.
